Float Nurse, Outpatient Clinics

Location: Aspen, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 40 hours per week (Days)


Job Summary

Provide professional nursing care and administrative support across multiple outpatient clinics, including Cardiology, Endocrinology, ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Pain, Primary Care, Rheumatology, Afterhours Care, and Snowmass Clinic. Must be competent to work as the primary nurse with minimal supervision and remain flexible to float between all outpatient clinics.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 2 years of float nursing experience, including float experience within the last year
  • Experience working in outpatient clinic settings
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (BSN) or Master’s (MSN) degree in Nursing
  • 2 years of experience in PCU, ICU, or CCU preferred
  • 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience preferred
  • Emergency Nurses Association Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Additional Information

  • Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8,000 ft elevation)
  • Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing; housing costs are high, especially in winter. Nearby towns may offer more affordable options.
  • Not accepting Respiratory Therapists (RT) for this role
