Work Schedule

36 hours per week
Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM (Night Shift)

Unit Information

Unit: 7 North - Spine
Number of Beds: 18-20
Staff per Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 3 nurses, 1 LPN, 1-2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
Patient Ratio: 6 patients per nurse with LPN support
Equipment used: Hoyer lifts, air taps, wound vacs, PCA pumps
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

Burn care experience
Wound care and ostomy care experience
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Typical Procedures

Wound and dressing care on post-operative burn and flap patients
