• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each; 17:00 - 3:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Case Manager role primarily for the Emergency Department (ED) with most services offered.
• Pediatric and neonatal patients are transferred out.
• Tertiary level care includes STEMI and neurological services transferred to higher-level care.
• No trauma or burn cases.
• Average daily census: 15 patients; 22 rooms, 34 beds.
• Every other weekend required.
• Navy blue scrubs required (not provided).

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 3 years of Case Management experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior)
• Experience with Utilization Review, specifically InterQual criteria
• Utilize InterQual Criteria
• Concurrent Review
• Determine Medical Necessity per Evidence-Based Guidelines
• Plan of Care
• Proficient in Discharge Planning
