Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Travel Position

Location: Aurora, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Beds: 8 Holding Bays and 4 Cath/EP suites
• Staff: 16 total
• Patient Ratio: 3 staff to 1 patient in procedural area
• Equipment: Philips Fluoro Systems, Mac Lab, CardioLab for EP
• EMR System: Meditech
• Schedule: Day shift 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM; rotating on-call nights
• On-call: Must take on-call responsibilities with the team
• Housing: Must be located within 30 minutes of the Cath Lab

Typical Procedures

• Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
• Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
• Electrophysiology (EP) Ablations
• Pacemakers, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs), Cardioversions
• Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• Tilt Table Tests
• EP/Structural Heart and Right Heart monitoring

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • ARRT (R)
  • RCIS or RCES certification
• If holding RCIS or RCES, must be willing and able to apply for Fluoroscopy Operator registration in Colorado before starting

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT (CI) or (CV) certification preferred
• Experience with scrubbing and monitoring during procedures
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR system
