Unit Information

Cardiac ICU with 16 beds
Staff includes 1 CNC/Charge RN, 8 RNs, and 1 PCT per shift (day and night)
Patient ratio: 1 RN to 2 patients
Equipment used: Cardiac monitoring, ventilators, IV pumps, tube feed pumps, Swan Ganz catheters
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech

Schedule

36 hours per week
12-hour shifts (day shift 5A-5P)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience within the last year
Current certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with neuro and medical ICU populations
Prior experience with Meditech EMR
