Job Opportunity: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Location

  • Baltimore, Maryland

Employment Type

  • Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 8 weeks

Schedule

  • Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:30 - 07:00)
  • Weekend Coverage: 4 weekend shifts required every 6 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Maryland
  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
  • Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
  • Experience working with adult patients

Uniform

  • Scrubs color: Royal blue

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Valid driver's license if driving is an essential job function
  • Criminal background check within 90 days, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • I9/E-Verify attestation required prior to start
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
  • Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
  • Immunization and health requirements including:
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
    • Documentation of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
    • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete on-site if needed)

Competency Requirements

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam within 3 years, minimum 80% score
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (Relias Dysrhythmia Basics A) within 1 year, minimum 80% overall and 100% lethal rhythms section; annual update required
  • Color blindness testing (online or in-person)

References & Work History

  • Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
  • Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, licenses, and contact information
  • Verification of minimum 2 years of employment in the past 7 years
  • For travel contracts, at least 1 prior travel assignment or 1 month of per diem experience required (attestations acceptable)

Orientation & Facility Requirements

  • Completion of facility-specific modules prior to start date
  • Clear, professional photo for badge issuance (face centered, no glare, solid background)
  • Annual safety manual acknowledgement

This position offers an opportunity for respiratory therapists with critical care and ED experience to work an 8-week travel contract on night shifts in Baltimore, Maryland. First-time travelers are welcome.
